examine the details of artifacts from Professor Ayres’ Rapa Nui (Easter Island) website and select two artifacts, features, or ecofacts. Rapa Nui is the famous Polynesian island with huge stone statues. The stone artifacts illustrated are adzes blades used for wood working and fishhooks made out of stone.

For your lab, write up–in a 1½ to 2 page double-spaced report–what collection you are considering; describe at least 4 individual specimens from the information you have in the online source; and discuss what kinds of preservation issues apply to those artifacts. Further, briefly discuss how archaeologists have analyzed them, and what types of inferences you can make based on the nature of the artifacts.
